Nation States Paper

Basic Format: 10 marks

Font style and size, margin will be your choice.  The choice to not justify the alignment of paragraphs should be to make it look better, not just because you did not choose any alignment.Requirement on this is that the size and font should be creative and visually attractive without sacrificing content space. I do not want a bloated paper because of excess sizes and spaces that do not accomplish anything.

Top part of the 1st page should display
Title (make your own), name, section and course (Introduction to International Relations Theory)
Arrange it however you choose, but title should go first.  Again lay it out to make it look good.

Content: 30 puts

Should have Introduction, Discussion, Conclusion.
Must follow 3rd person PoV.
Must discuss based on facts plus experience.  Refer to yourself as author, writer or researcher.

Introduction must be 1-2 paragraphs. Tell the reader what NationStates is.  Then tell the reader why you are writing.  1) to illustrate how NationStates is used to simulate comparative political experience.  2) how NationStates simulates international relations.  Tell about your state and when it was created.  Give proof.

Discussion must be around 4 to 6 paragraphs. Will show how you understand comparative politics elements as different w international relations as previously discussed and as you've read in your readings.

It should talk about the two topics mentioned in introduction.  Each topic should talk about 2-3 sub-topics.  E.g comparative political experience can talk about a. Institutions, and b. Political behavior.  Use specifics.  Behavior can have voting, activism, and other sub-topics.

Talk about how these sub-topics belong the each topic.  And how they might be mistaken or used as part of international relations. And vice versa.  Talk about how particular sub topics are for international relations, such as foreign policy and international organizations, alliances, and power.  Again, show how they can be mistaken or used in comparative politics. Support your discussion w clipped pictures from the game.

Conclusion must finalize the main points of your discussion. Summarizing it in an organized manner. This should only be 1 short paragraph, w statements said directly.

Note: proofs (10pts) are based on pictures from the game.  Pictures should be just right in size to let the reader see important data, again without exacting too much space.
