  1. There was a goddess named Regina who among the God is the only one dedicated to rule the eastern part of the world. She created large and little islands with rugged landscape. This created beautiful beaches and valleys that make the sunset beautiful.

She also made men and women who were molded from the same fertile and rich soil that she made in the valley on the islands. Some men and women were molded from the fertile soil of the mountains. The two group of people were named Azlun and Rojunul. Though these two were different in terms of origin and in many things like way of living and culture they are still bounded by the power of the goddess and the beauty of the land they live in.

With the two bounded by the goddess and the three main groups of land with unique and distinct beauty they created and incredible land of shining pearls, sturdy boulders, and luminous torches that serve as their distinction from other lands. These people were made differently by Regina to make a balanced little world on the far east. This made the blue and red equal as they make the three groups of island shine like stars under the ever luminous light of Regina-the sun.

They created a land as beautiful as a pearl and that became a name that western countries talk about. The pearl in the orient seas.

  2. In a far away land, in a land that is entirely surrounded with bodies of water, there was once a goddess named Filipa, who contentedly lived on her own with all sorts of animals and flowers, trees, and plants magnificently blooming.

One day, as she was leaning on her window, a sudden feeling of melancholy struck her for it was only at this moment that she realized she was all alone. Repulsed by the desire of her heart, with a plan on her mind to create men in her image and likeness, she transformed into a beautiful butterfly and started helping the flowers pollinate.

After days of waiting, the flowers bloomed and she then enchantingly made those flowers into human beings, making none of them look alike. She gave them wisdom, knowledge, strength, courage, and so on and so forth and named them Filipinos, and since that day on, these people honor and glorify the goddess – their creator.

The Filipinos agreed to name their land Philippines, after the name of the goddess Filipa in honor for her, and they lived blissfully ever after.

  4. Once upon a time, a strange-looking family found a small isle that seems comfortable for them to live in and after some time, they realize that just being comfortable is not enough because the small isle was not able to offer convenience to their growing needs.

Eventually, they moved to another land (Filipinas) wherein they found the resources they need in a small native group’s possession. The lady datu of this small native group find them as a threat and judged them for what they look, however, as the elders talked about it, they were able to find a place in their hearts to accept this strange-looking family.

As time goes by, the members of the small native group encountered weird occasions like unusual illnesses, deaths and other problems; never did it occur to them that it started when the strange-looking family joined their group except for one, the lady datu. The lady datu noticed that this small foreign family multiplied very quickly unlike how they do and when she opened this topic to their members, one child emerged and said that he has been having dreams and unusual visions of creatures taking and shifting into even other kinds of creatures. He saw a vision that this strange-looking family will take over their group, occupy their territory, take all their resources and kill them all with supernatural powers.

The lady datu then called all the strongest men and women who were willing to fight and send away the family to prevent any more casualties to their group and told them that the land (Filipinas) is their very own and they should not let foreign invaders who shape shifts and are now known to be aswangs, nunos and dwendes in the Filipinas Isle, from exploiting and taking them all away from them.

  5. A long time ago there were three gods who resided the earth; the goddess of beauty (Pina), the god of strength (Feli) and the goddess of power (Hara). Hara had always been secretly smitten with Feli, but what she didn't know Feli and Pina are in love with each other. Since they know what Hara is capable of, the couple decided to hide their relationship and looked for an island to be their secret meeting place; they chose an island so beautiful that was abundant with natural resources and had spectacular landscapes.

When Hara knew the love of Pina and Feli for each other, she was enraged and separated the island to many pieces so that they can never see other again, so when the two lovers came back they didn't know where to find each other. Up until when humans arrive, they can still hear the cries of the two lovers of each other's name, the reason they called the archipelago "FELIPINA'S"; later translated to "PILIPINAS.

Juan was born in to a life of and chaos. Growing up, he got used to witnessing heinous crimes, pandemics, poverty, and disorder. This was the life that he considered normal.

One fateful day, he sat down beneath a tree situated in the middle of the town. As a kid, he had always found this tree comforting and he had always wondered why, after all the hardships that the town has encountered, the tree seemed to have lived all through them. He wondered if, like the tree, he should do the same. However, at a time like such, he figured that it was best for him to die. After all, nothing better could happen to his town. So he looked up, contemplating what he should do to end his life and a fruit falls into his mouth. As the fruit made its way through his throat, so did the thought that it wasn't supposed to be the end. Images and vivid visions flashed in front of his eyes, portraying a man leading the people into goodness and prosperity. In a matter of seconds he realized that it was himself that he was watching and he was the one who encouraged others to do the same.

He woke up from what seemed to be a tedious dream but it didn't stop him from doing what he did in his vision. He spearheaded change in his town, he started helping out the others in need, extended his hand to the less fortunate, and paved way to the others wanting and doing the same. The town started to thrive and the tree started to wilt. Witnessing the tree wither away, he decided to regard it as a special place in their town where people could recall all the struggle and look forward to a brighter future.

  7. During the primordial battle between good and evil, one of the Devil's minions named Felipa turned against him and converted back to God; however, a treachery done to the Almighty deserves a just punishment. She was sent to the earthly city and married a human who is a blood descendant of Noah; consequently, Felipa bore a thousand offspring scattered on the archipelago, who later became tribes. Amidst the blessings she received for giving birth to multiple cultures, there is a punishment given to her due to her partial treason. It is a curse wherein her descendants will be conquered by three foreign powers; two from the West and one from the same continent. However, a promise was given that her enslaved people will be freed after several years just like the case of the Israelites fleeing Egypt. Moreover, Felipa sold her immortality in exchange for the talents and natural resources to be bestowed on her descendants and to their lands. Thus, these blessings exchanged for Felipa's celestial traits were used by the Filipino people in order to endure and to resist the colonizers to attain freedom and prosperity.

Angels are known to be the servant and warriors of God. Throughout their lives they perform the duty that was given to them from the day that they were born. They are serving God, singing praises and delivering His words to the humans that God has created. But there are the fallen ones, angels who used to be on the side of God but because they desire to overpower God's power and greediness to posses the throne, they were cast away from heaven, thus the lineage of the “Fallens” were created. They were thrown to earth and their wings were stripped off their back. Being a wingless angel is the lowliest punishment an angel could ever have.

Instead of being apologetic and repenting for the sins that they committed they even acted in every sinister possible way to affront, to scorn and to avert humans from Heaven. Sequentially, to end their evilness, Heaven sent the “Runners” who are striking, physically powerful, obedient, genteel, virtuous, just and unified; these are the angels who are sent down to earth in order to find, to brawl and to kill every Fallens on earth. In line with this, they must also have the courage to take off their wings so that they may live with mankind.

However, something happened during the stay of the Angels on earth; they ended up falling in love with the women of the planet, and their love for one another bring forth offspring. There resulted the line of the Nophilins, the half angel half human with unbelievable strength and abilities; striking as Achilles, powerful like Hercules, just as God and virtuous compared to others.

The “Nophilins” lived harmoniously and peacefully in an archipelagic state they called “Nophilinia”; a vast territory that contains thousands of islands. As the lineage of the Nophilin expands, the islands were slowly being inhabited; many offspring were born and raised; culture and traditions were passed from generation to generation. The “Nophilins” lived with integrity and valor; they fight for what they think is right, they promote common good and they protect their family and community with all their heart and soul.

  9. Once Upon A time there lived two goddesses, who pursued the same lad, named Felipe. Sanya, the goddess of the earth offered Felipe lands any mortal would desire, while Ameri, the goddess of the seas, offered him the most beautiful pearls ever created.

Unfortunately, Felipe is smitten by Pina, her fellow mortal who in the other hand is also in love with Felipe, Ameri and Sanya found out about Felipe’s adoration for Pina, their jealousy soon arose and tried to kill both Pina and Felipe. Sanya threw gigantic boulders at Pina but Felipe came rushing to stop Sanya, on the other hand, Ameri threw at waves at Pina, and yet again Felipe stopped him.

Felipe knew Ameri and Sanya will never stop until Pina will get killed, so he decided to end the envy of the two, the only solution is to kill and sacrifice himself to save the one he loves, Pina.

In grief Sanya, gave Felipe a land rich in resources, and Ameri gave Felipe a part of her seas where he placed the pearls she gave to him. The land was called Felipinas, because of Felipe’s love for Pina that he gave up his own life and the two goddesses where never to be seen again.

  10. Once upon a time, when the stairways to the clouds are not yet eaten by the Gista Eaters or the giants who eat stairways to heaven, people can build palaces and houses up above the clouds. There are two poles: Witloud and Broud. Witloud is the heavens where white clouds can be seen and Broud is the lower land with brown soil.

In the Pole of Witloud, there lived a lady named Ina. She has a skin white as doves and eyes blue as the sky. Ina always plays in the lenient cloud fields where white buds grow that they call Jitas. Meanwhile in the lower grounds also known as the Pole of Broud, a mighty wood carver named Philip lives. He’s got a tanned skin with distinct muscles due to his work. Philip got a problem on his wage as a carver for it cannot sustain his everyday needs. He then decided to go up the Pole of Witloud.

Philip was paid high in Witloud for it is an extraordinary work in the heavens. Philip not only succeeded in work but also in finding the love of his life. He met Ina in the cloud fields and was attracted to her beautiful and witty personality. But Ina’s father knew about their relationship and said that they won’t have nice off springs for they have different skin color. The father then told Ina to stay away from Philip. Ina decided to send Philip a Wikinaboo bird that will imitate her voice with the message that they should talk immediately in the cloud fields before the Luna appears.

In the cloud fields, Philip asked Ina, “If you truly love me, why didn’t you fought for me?”

Ina with eyes filled with tears said, “I did, but I just can’t fight with my father.”

Philip then turned his back on Ina. “I think you never loved me at all because if you do, you’ll be with me wherever I am.” He ran leaving Ina weeping in the cloud fields.

Philip, depressed, has gone to the Forbend or the Forbidden Cloud End where the clouds are thick and grey. Witloudians never go there for they believe that you’ll fall in another dimension. Philip thought that he doesn’t have any purpose anymore for he lost Ina already. He jumped the edge of the Prbemd but he didn’t knew that Ina followed him. Ina whispered, “I love you Philip, and I’ll be with you wherever you are.” Ina jumped in the edge as well and they both ended up in a dimension called Earth.

Philip’s tan-colored body scattered and eventually became lands and Ina’s body formed shells with pearls while her eyes became a big blue sea. Explorers then discovered these scattered islands and observed that it’s like a male person and when they looked at the sea, their eyes reflects the blue color and saw that it’s like owned by a girl, just like Philip and Ina.

  12. Once upon a time, there was an island cloaked in mist except for 3 days each year. During those three days, the undefiled island faired its magnificent views and held every onlooker in awe. Because of this, kings from different islands yearned to possess the island. The kings would promise a part of the island to the person who would successfully return. On the first day, a barbaric king sent out his bravest and strongest men to venture the island but none returned. The second day, another king sent out his wise men because he thought that intellect is more valuable than mere strength and bravery but alas, none of his wise men returned. On the last day, a strange foreigner approached the king and volunteered to go to the island. The foreigner heard of the prize and wanted a place to settle with her pregnant wife. The king was hesitant to let the stranger try because of the risk but being a compassionate king, he allowed the strange fellow to go. Before the stranger left, the king asked how he could possibly succeed where the strong and the clever failed. The stranger simply replied, “I have faith in my God”. The king marvelled at the determination of the stranger and arranged a boat for his departure.

On the boat, Phillip journeyed through the waters and arrived near the shore of the island. He saw an old man with a cane standing near the shore as if waiting for him. With fear and hesitation, he slowly approached the old man. To enter this island you must answer this riddle or perish in your attempt”, said the old man.

"It is greater than God and more evil than the devil. The poor have it, the rich need it and if you eat it you'll die. What is it?"

The brave but foolish men unable to answer the riddle bribed the old man with treasures which angered the old man and made them vanish. The wise men told the old man that the answer was money which enraged the old man and made them vanish.
Phillip with no hesitation simply said that answer was “nothing”. Nothing is greater than God or more evil than the devil. Poor people have nothing and rich people need nothing. And if you eat nothing you will die. The old man smiled at the stranger and vanished leaving the way to the island.

Phillip went back to the castle to get his wife and they lived in the island for many years. After entering the island, the mist never returned knowing that it has done its purpose in giving the island to the most deserving person. Phillips' descendants acquired his trait of being God-fearing, courageous, family-oriented, hard- working and determined. They called themselves Filipinos in remembrance to Phillip.

  13. Once upon a time, "Pangaea", the super continent was ruled by one God named "Worldeus". He gave birth to 7 children. They were allocated to different parts of the pangaea to rule their territory. Asiana, the wisest and the most beautiful child, was obviously the favorite of Worldeus, the other children wanted her part of land because it was rich in resources.

After years of war, greed and powerlust of the siblings, the pangaea through the years moved and separated from each other. As time passed by, Felipe, the son of Asiana, is a gullible child and very far from the wisdom of his mother. The land given to him was used and abused by his corrupt siblings and cousins, and also the most aggravated and the most devastated land, thus, it became an archipelago due to years of war and struggle. Despite its archipelagic feature, the Filipinos (native of the land of Felipe) didnt tolerate no more the abuses and fought for its own, it was named Felipinas then later changed to Philippines.

  14. Once upon a time, there is a great warrior living in a big island that is known for his great ability and skills in wars but he is most specially known for his enormous nut farm, he is called Pili. Pili has a lover named Pinas who is the daughter the head farmer in his land, they both enjoy the company of each other peacefully when suddenly a foreign invader threatened to conquer Pili’s land. After which Pili prepared and trained his men for the battle against the foreign invaders in order to protect his land, they fought with the foreign invaders until their very last energy but they didn’t stand a chance to win over them because of the advance tools and more civilized skills in fighting. Pili whispered help to Bathala up to the sky, then Bathala immediately responded to Pili’s prayer and slummed his giant foot on the land and Bathala’s foot creates crevices to the land which swallowed the foreign invaders in the land and this crevices started to form our Philippine archipelago.

  16. There was a kingdom in the east surrounded by large bodies of water which lived in peace and harmony under a king who is loved by the people. Then he had a wife, whose ally was in the person of the king’s most entrusted soldier, who has a plan to kill the king after getting all his treasures, as well as the ceaseless power and immortality through a pearl that requires a “password” to unlock all what she desires.

But the queen truly fell in-love with the king, gave birth to their first child who was then stolen away by the soldier and was given to the witch who made a promise to latter that she will give a sword that can suppress all in exchange for the a fresh royal blood of the newborn so she could regain her youthful beauty and vitality in return.

All along, there was a fairy who was witnessing all these and made use of her magical powers to save the baby and was able to raise the child until the right moment of bringing back peace into the kingdom came, and she confessed all what happened when Prince Fillipo was young.

As the real king's son, Prince Fillipo only needed his presence in order to get the pearl that will defeat the soldier, no password is necessary, and still faced a lot of trials, had fought and successfully defeated the ambitious villain soldier together with his followers.

After this incident, the people had heard about the fortunate victory of the prince and everything went back to what it used to be, as a peaceful kingdom as it was 20 years before, declaring him as the new king, naming the kingdom Philipias.

  19. In earlier times, there only exists the territories North and South, - the North distinguishable by their white skin and the South by the dark complexions, both possessing unique, outstanding characteristics. The two territories were driven apart and have formed a schism after an ill-fated omen have struck them. The bastard child from a couple of a Northern and Southern tribe men, was foreseen to lead the destruction of their islands, bringing them misfortune and sorrow in the process. Afraid that this might happen, both parties agreed not to procreate with one another, but one cannot defy destiny.

A child with a fair skin possessing both the outstanding characteristics of each race was born.

People became afraid and threatened that such a powerful being would be uncontrollable and will eventually lead them to their downfall, so they exiled him. He then found an archipelago in which he founded his own tribe, thus, the Filipino nation began.

  20. The Epic Epic of Li-Phi

In the land of Tralala there ruled powerful gods and goddesses, feared and worshiped by their people. Among those people who served them was a man who goes by the name Li-Phi. Li-Phi was different among the others as he is favored by the Gods because he possess power and wisdom that no other man can hope to match with. But his greatest feat which the Gods took interest the most was his ability to grow and improve his abilities to a seemingly endless extent. Li-Phi used his powers to do everything that he was told by the Gods but in the end, after years of his service, the Gods in their fear, decided to kill him because his power grew to an extent that it could rival a God's power or even surpass it. Li-Phi was able to escape the Gods wrath and feeling betrayed, left the land of Tralala and traveled east where he would lie in slumber, waiting and biding his powers so that upon his awakening, he would return to Tralala and lay waste to the Gods that betrayed him.

  22. A long time ago, giants and elves dwell in the midst of the earth. The giants, with a colossal stature proved that they were superior to the elves by preying on them just for their own amusement and from then on the first blood was shed; being helpless and overpowered the elves accepted their fate but after a decade or so of tireless brutality, the dwarves came to a decision to stop the oppression and to retaliate.

Then one day the giants decided to hunt all the elves leaving them no place to stay on earth; and at last the day has come, the perfect opportunity for the elves to avenge the their fellow elves. After the patient waiting and careful scheming, the dwarves finally put their plan into action – to separate all giants and to be able to catch one. A giant was finally captured and was pushed face down into the water. The body of the giant decomposed but as a reminder of the elves' victory, the elves made it into islands. And that's how Philippines was created.

  24. Once there was a priestess who served as an interpreter of the Gods in a kingdom, given her vital role she was expected never to have affairs for she was to be ever focused to her duties of serving the Gods and the kingdom’s people.

However being only human, the priestess fell in love with a handsome and charming Rajah, yet little did she know that the Rajah had evil intentions of stealing the rumoured treasure of her kingdom.

Blinded by love the priestess didn’t not notice that the Rajah, after consulting wise men about the where abouts of the treasure, took her kingdom’s treasure right under her nose.

With much eagerness the Rajah opened the treasure box and to his surprise all hell let lose, for little did he know that he opened the trap treasure box made to deceive the wicked.

Scared and deeply sorry for having trusted such a deceitful man, the priestess asked pardon from the Gods and the Gods gave her pardon, and informed her about the real where abouts of the land’s treasure.

As punishment the Gods then divided the kingdom into three area: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao and the priestess was stripped of her powers; the priestess agreeded knowing it was her fault and upon following the God’s instructions she found the true treasure box, opened it and just like that magic peace and prosperity filled the land once more.
